The business is managed by the director Glenn Rees. However the previous owner John Marchingo founded and formulated the business back in 1995. John has been involved in the roof industry for 50 years. A roof tiler by trade, he has a wealth of knowledge in roof tile installation and has many years experience in a senior installation management role with the Monier organisation.

What do you do when you reach the stage when you no longer want to or can’t be a roof tiler? I was one of the larger contractors contracting to Boral Roof Tile in Melbourne when I decided I had enough and diversified into developing a business selling tilers supplies. When selling to the trade you need to be able to offer the best products at the right prices,let me tell you about one of the products that I stock.

One of my main products is flexible pointing. When I was tiling I tried several pointing products but found Ridgebond to be the most consistant product available.

Some of the products that I tested would be workable on hot days and others would be good in the colder months, I found Ridgebond was very user friendly in any weather conditions. I also found it developed hardness faster than others which is a bonus when the weather is inclement. The consistency of the colours is another big plus for Ridgebond.

I have found that once I have a customer try Ridgebond theyare sold on it. I currently have between 60 and 80 contractors in Melbourne’s West and country Victoria purchasing the Ridgebond product.
